History

The land where Casa Las Piñas now stands holds a rich history of family heritage. This two-acre property originally belonged to my great-grandparents, Osvaldo Ortiz “Balin” and Georgina López “Minina”, and was later passed down through generations of the Ortiz family.

In the 1960s, this land was known as Hacienda Aurora and was primarily dedicated to pineapple farming. With the onset of the 2020 pandemic, the land was repurposed and transformed into a short-term rental property. This history inspired the name Casa Las Piñas, honoring its past.

Located in Lajas, one of the most peaceful and relaxing regions of Puerto Rico, Casa Las Piñas is a paradise for those seeking a retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The property is situated between the iconic destinations of La arguera and Boquerón, making it an ideal getaway for beach lovers.

Casa Las Piñas is more than just an escape, it offers the opportunity to experience a piece of Puerto Rican history and culture. A stay here is a journey through time, from the pineapple plantation days to today’s modern architecture,
all while immersing yourself in the serene beauty of Lajas
